Maleficent and Aurora Costume

My daughters wanted to be Maleficent and Sleeping beauty from the movie. I made the head piece for maleficent using wire coat hanger, wrapped in foil for fullness and covered in electrical tape. The horns were then attached to the head piece that was made from wig cap covered in electrical tape about 4 times. and a patch of faux snake leather fabric in the top. The rest of the head piece was covered in faux leather. The dress was velvet material and faux leather with a ribbon trim. The cape was made with the snack faux leather fabric and a dragon pin to hold the cape up. The staff was made with a plastic witch broom handle, twigs purchased from craft store, a solar light at the top, and a crow. Sleeping beauty head piece was made from flower wire, Christmas gold flowers and pink flowers. The dress was pink satin with lace overlay. A gold trim was hand sewn down the from of the dress. A lace trim was sewn on the front around the collar and around the cascading sleeves.
