This homemade costume for girls entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Megan, the 'Medusa' costume creator:
I made this costume for my 9 year old daughter, Grace who is fascinated by Greek mythology. I started by dyeing her white cleopatra dress from last year gold and brushing it with green metallic paint. I boiled plastic snakes so they would be more pliable and then painted them gold and cut and glued them to 2 headbands. I used a technique for her makeup which involved using fishnet and layering greens and golds to create a scale effect.
She won best costume at her school.
