This homemade costume for families entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Mary, the 'Moana and Maui' costume creator:
My husband William is wearing the costume Maui. My daughter and him decided on this costume when we watched the movie Moana when it came out.
We cut stencils out to make the tattoos. We used black flat spray paint. We bought some greenery from Hobby Lobby for the leaf skirt. We tied the leafs on his belt. Hair is all natural. The bone necklace is a beaded necklace from Dollar General. We also bought white sponges and cut the shark tooth and other teeth out to hang from necklace.
