This homemade costume for girls entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Jillian, the 'Moana' costume creator:
My daughter, Jadyn Kai, who is 15 years old is wearing a Moana costume that I bought on Amazon. Unfortunately, I did not pay attention to measurements and it didn’t fit. I had to roam around Hobby Lobby until I found something that would make it work. I ended up finding scraps of fabric in the clearance bin that matched along with Velcro and sewed those scraps to the waste to make the skirt come together. And that’s not a wig. That’s her natural hair.
I could be biased, but I think she makes a beautiful Moana.
