Peacock Costume

This is my daughter Zia wearing a Peacock costume I made for her. I ordered the mask and unitard online. To make the back piece I started with a hand fan and glued and sewed every peacock feather 1 by 1 until it was a big and full as I liked. Then I sewed on sequin strechy material(from Hobby Lobby) to make the shoulder straps so she can wear it like a backpack. For the tutu I used the loop know method to add a variety of colors of tulle and I point cut the end to add more detail. Then I added peacock feathers to the tutu to blend it all together. The idea was all my daughter. She loves the way peacocks look.
