This homemade costume for women entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Sue, the 'Pirate Wench' costume creator:
This costume is sewn using Simplicity pattern 3629. I modified the top by adding ties to the sleeves. I lengthened the skirt and added pearls to decorate. I designed and drafted the corset myself by draping the shape. It is boned with steel. The hat was store purchased but changed the bows to the same fabric as the dress. The materials used are polyester satin and brocade. The skirt also has a built in petticoat that shows a peep of lace.
