Shiar Warbird Costume

Hi, I am wearing the costume. It is based on the new X-MEN comic character Ava "Warbird". I made the helmet out of a predator mask which I cut, painted and I used cardboard and wooden sticks to create the stiff crown effect around the helmet and to lift it higher above my head. I used 5 feather boas and sewed them in halves to a hair net for the feathered wig. For the armored scales on the leg, shoulder and arm guards, I cut plastic cups into the shaped and hotglued them onto them. I used a pair of fishnet tights for the sleeves. The top is a old corset that I painted to have maintain the color of the character's. I used silver spray paint to paint the guards and belt.
