The Wizard of Oz Costume

This year with 3 boys and a and girl I just knew it was time for a family costume. Xavier,10 as the Tin Man, Edward,6 as the Cowardly Lion, Noah,4 as the Scarecrow, Gia,15 mos as Dorothy. My aunt made each of there costumes. Down to the badge of courage the heart and oil can. I love that she even gave the lion his flower pot crown. She embroidered Dorothys' socks, collar ,and sleeves for added detail. The Tin Man's costumes had hand sewn bolts down the front,side,gloves,and, headpiece,and also on his spats. She cut foam board which she spray painted silver to assemble his shoulder,knees,and elbow areas. His barrel tummy was and camping pad she sewd silver around. The Lions tauil had wire inside to give him a bending effect. The Scarecrow was stuffed with teddy bear stuffing and she sewd the straw around the ends the sleeves,pants,, and coming out of the patches.
