This homemade costume for boys entered our 2011 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from C. Sattelberg, the 'Gene Simmons' costume creator:
When my 3 year old son & I were looking online for some costume ideas, I NEVER could have imagined he would see a picture of KISS & say "I WANT TO BE THAT ONE" While pointing at Gene Simmons dressed as "The Demon". His costume was lovingly homemade by mom including the make-up, no pattern just looking at LOTS & LOTS of KISS pictures
MATERIALS USED
Black and White Face Paint
Black Lip Stick & Nail Polish
Black Hair Spray (washable)
Black & Silver Fabric
Velcro, Snaps & Glue
A Sewing Machine & Thread
Black Spiked Choker (A dog collar works if you can't find one)
Some Patients, Imagination and LOTS of Metal Studs
TIME & COST
Figuring out how to make costume 8 Hours
Face paint on 3 yr old 30 min
Watching him become "Dr. Love" Priceless
