Ursula the Seawitch Costume

A coworker gave me the idea 2 years ago and I finally gave it a try. I have been working on her since May and through hit and miss ideas she finally came together. I basically made a skirt out of muslin and cut out 8 panels. Once I fitted her to my dress form I stuffed and pinned and tucked until she was the shape I wanted. I made tentacle “ends” and put in wire so they would bend then I hand sewed these to each skirt tentacle. I used and old bathing suit top and secured it to the skirt then placed, cut and hand sewed the balk fabric to form the dress. Purple numbed material was used for the underside.
