A word from Rachael, the 'Happily Ever After' costume creator:
This is my husband and I. We wanted to do something more along the lines of "enchanted forest" and it curved into fairy tale. He literally traveled to me from a far away land (finland) to be with me....he is my prince charming. We first wanted the costumes to be as real as possible. His tunic and my gown are made from a linen cotton that is light and yet looks quite authentic. My sleeves were very important to me. I had to have sleeves like that. Twirling and walking are so much fun when I wear it! We then purchased his boots online, and they follow more of a goth theme. And his sword and belt were obtained from a medieval fair that we went to. My flower tiara was made by a lady who does that kind of thing for a living. His sleeves bothered him so we got some really cheap gloves to cover them! He really felt knightly in them. I also looked up what medieval flowers I could get from the local flower store. And had a braided ribbon to hold them together. In the end it took 3 months to gather everything! It will be outfits we can wear to medieval fairs, parties, just for fun, and many many other ways for many years to come. We took all these photos in an old historical area in our town. Hope you like!
