Harry and Lloyd Costume

Henry, 2 years old, loves driving his Jurassic Park Jeep Powerwheel. He also likes to tell me, "I poop on your head," which made me think of the bathroom scene in Dumb and Dumber. Which gave me the idea of dressing him and his brother, Wililam, up as Harry and Lloyd and turning their power wheel into the Mutt Cutts van.

I took off the top lights and side mirrors to their Jurassic Park Powerwheel and duct taped a cardboard frame to it. I went to Menards and purchased a 12' x 3' piece of carpet and used a utility knife to cut the carpet in the shape of the frame. A staple gun and velcro were used to adhere the carpet to the cardboard frame to create Mutt Cutts! The Mutt Cutts van took me several days to complete.

I took William (5 years old) to Sports Clips and showed them a picture of Lloyd Christmas and asked them to cut his hair like Lloyd's. Luckily, the lady knew the movie and loved the idea. She cut his hair perfectly! His hair is blonde, so I bought a spray bottle of washable brown dye and turned his hair brown. I found a khaki color coat off Amazon for Lloyd's costume and dyed it green with Rit dye. I then put it in gray dye to make it look dingy. His red shirt underneath was a white shirt that was dyed red and then gray to give it the dingy look. Henry's polo underneath his coat was bought off Poshmark and dyed green.
