This homemade costume for women entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Holly, the 'Hazel the Silent Doll' costume creator:
I came up with the name and the idea of the character, Hazel. I wanted to keep it sweet but eerie. The story: Hazel is a porcelain doll who was dropped by a child. She now has a cracked face and a broken heart. Each year, Hazel hides in the woods with all the Halloween candy and bribes visitors with the sweet treats, making sure nobody will stumble upon her hideous appearance.
