Headless Girl Costume

This was a HIT a few years ago for my daughter. She’s always wanted edgy costumes and has never really been interested in any typical princess costumes off the rack. She had this great idea and with a few tools we brought it to life. First, we purchased a mannequin torso and an “snow princess” costume from a local thrift store. Then I got a book bag and sort of stuffed the torso into the book bag and duct tapped it like crazy to hold up the torso. We then used tights and stuffed them to make the arms and added cloves at the end and attached them together to “hold her head”. The dress ended up being too short to cover her legs so I cut an old sheet and hot glued it to the bottom of the dress to add length (I can’t sew to save my life so hot glue is the basis of all of our costumes lol). I cut a slit in the dress at the waistline for her to stick her head through and she basically wore the upper part of the costume on her back with the book bag. This costume was so much fun to make and a huge hit with everyone!
