Headless Scientist Costume

This 8-year-old is wearing a headless scientist costume. Made by hand, this sure was fun! A backpack holding tall cardboard pieces attached to styrofoam was used to build the torso and shoulders of the scientist. We placed a button-up with bow-tie and lab coat over it. Red tissue paper made up the “bloody” neck. His head stuck out of the labcoat’s buttons, again with red tissue paper mimicking blood. We pinned the coat arms up with stuffed gloves to make it appear that he is holding his own head!
