This homemade costume for girls entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Lynnette, the 'Hedwig the Snowy Owl' costume creator:
My 8yr old daughter loves Harry Potter and wanted to be Hedwig for Halloween. I spent days searching online to find a great Hedwig costume. Well, I hate to say it, but I couldn't find one that was either crazy expensive or not very cute. So I decided to make one for her instead. I saw an infant version of this costume on Pinterest and decided to modify it a bit and make a mask to match.
I used Warm and Natural batting, real feathers and a hot glue gun! That's it! It was super easy.
I'm so happy with how it turned out and it only cost about 25.00!
