A word from Nikki, the 'Helvis and Hissss-ila' costume creator:

We decided to pay tribute to the King and his bride with a twist. Helvis (devil Elvis) and Hissss-ila (Medusa Priscilla) was the result of a yearlong plan.

We started at the thrift store and found a pair of black running pants and a matching pullover sweatshirt. I took the sweatshirt and converted the short zipper to a full-front zipper, the added flaming flared bottoms to the pant legs. The Helvis added red, orange and yellow beads up the outside of both legs. Next came the black satin cape complete with flames spelling Helvis across the back. For the shirt, he created a flame design from a bandana and adhesive and appliqued that to the front, and completed the shirt by beading the arms. The belt was made from faux black leather, gold chains and more beads. The outfit was completed with horns, Elvis sunglasses bought at Graceland, rings, and an over the top Elvis wig. Total cost approximately $100.

Hissss-ila needed a wedding dress and veil so I found a metallic snake skin spandex which was then draped to give a toga-like/snake body front. The tiara was made by gluing different sizes rubber snakes yo a headband and then spray painted with a stone spray paint. Tiny snake eyes were created with Crystal's glued to the larger snakes. For the make up I created a snakeskin effect with fishnet stockings on my face and blanding various colors across my forehead and cheeks. To give a really creepy look, I wore a pair of white contacts. After adding a raven colored wig and veil, the look was complete and cost approximately $75.
