A word from Zachary, the 'Knights of the Round Table' costume creator:
My high school buddies and I have always been fans of Monty Python, so we decided to dress up as the Knights of the Round Table from " The Holy Grail" for our Senior Halloween Breakfast.
For all of the tunics we cut out holes for our arms and our heads from a king size pillowcase( $4.50 each ).Using fabric spray paint we painted half of Sir Lancelot's tunic black and Sir Bedevere's tunic blue ( $4 each can of paint ).
We then found images of our symbols( cross, sun, dragon, tree and chicken) and enlarged them using a copy machine. Next we used a light box and a transfer pen to trace the image on paper. From there we ironed the image onto the pillowcase and painted them with fabric paint.
For the shields, we got sheets of cardboard from a local warehouse ( free ) and painted them with acrylic paints. In order to make the arm bands we used elastic bands, nuts, washers and screws ( $5 ).
Sir Bedevere made his helmet from a plastic garbage can, black feathers, bolts and the metal paint strainer which he attached with zip ties ( about $10 ).
We had fun making these costumes and memories.
Don't forget the coconuts! (the galloping horses)
