This homemade costume for kids entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Kimberly, the 'Horseshoe Crab' costume creator:

Charlie, 4 years old, loves ocean animals and decided she wanted to be a horseshoe crab for Halloween. Her Dad made the costume using EVA foam exercise mats (using a heat gun to mold/sculpt the right shape), contact cement, and a plasti dip base coast with a spray paint finish. Spandex was used for the joints between the segments, so she can get around pretty well. The costume is put on using a handmade vest with velcro straps for easy on and off.

Was wondering if i could get a little more detail on how you made the costume. My grandson found the pic and went crazy for this. I make his outfit every year and some are pretty crazy....pirate ship, Star war ship, Thomas the train ect..... i love to make them.

If i had seen this earlier in the year I'd have asked to pay you guys for a costume I wanted made. Something extremely similar but so much simpler in its design.
