Hot Air Balloon and Blue Sky Couples Costume

I wore this costume to a halloween block party and was such a hit! So many people wanted to take our picture.

I made the bottom part from a laundry basket and decorated with fabrics, beads and buttons. I fastened it all with hot glue.
I used wood dowels and flexible PVC pipe for the top half and fastened with duck tape and painted it all white.
Tied balloons to the top part (tip:use a good pump to pump balloons mine was so small and took so long! )
I tied 2 straps to the basket to help hold it on my shoulders.

My husband made a perfect blue sky!

I loved this cosume so much! I would recommend being outside most of time wearing it because for me I kept hitting people in the face. It's also hard to get in doorways.
