Hot Air Balloon and Rain Cloud Costume

My son Oliver (he is 15 months old) is wearing a homemade hot air balloon costume. I made it out of a basket that I punched the bottom out of and then I used wire hangers with rope glued to it to make the frame and a small flameless candles hung under that to simulate the flame. To that I attached a section of pool noodle, with glue and tied a large balloon to that.

My (Anne) costume was just a blue formal gown topped with a large straw hat covered with stuffing with blue tinsel glued to the underside.

I wanted to do something unique so that we wouldn't look like everyone else, I'm also not into creepy costumes...these costumes were perfect.
