This homemade costume for women entered our 2019 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Darcy, the 'Huntress Viola' costume creator:
My daughter has been an avid gamer for years. We started making her video game costumes when a few years ago.
This is by far one of the most elaborate, painstaking costumes she ever requested of me.
It is made of faux suede, interfacing , lots of bias tape, craft paint and blood , sweat and tears.
This actually took me about 3 years to finish.
I would work on the cuffs for a couple of days , then take a couple of weeks off.
Normally, it takes a couple of days for me to complete even the most elaborate costumes. But, there was nothing normal about this one.
I love the way it turned out.
Of course, it helps to have a pretty daughter to dress up.
