Inside Out Costume

Our family picked the characters from Inside Out this year: Anger, Fear, Sadness, Disgust, and Joy! All materials are thrift store finds that I was able to alter to fit the characters. For Joy’s dress, I painted the blue flower pattern with fabric paint. I painted masks with the characters colors and expressions on them. I found an old beat up wagon and re-painted it, added a wooden handle and painted it black, and the kids taped on the brooms and cardboard wings themselves since it’s supposed to look like a child’s creation. I added colorful wigs and styled them to match, Angers is pieced together from a furry red headband and a thrift store snow hat. I painted the characters colored eyebrows in their cartoon expressions to finish it up!
