This homemade costume for women entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Mary, the 'Instagram Selfie' costume creator:
After my initial costume idea fell through, I was desperate to come up with something quickly. So, I referenced Instagram for inspiration and after seeing so many people's "Halloween Costume Selfies," I decided to go as an Instagram Selfie. I went out and bought iron-on letters for my shirt and then printed out a graphic of an Instragam Image on an iPhone at Kinkos. After I mounted the poster to cardboard, I used a box cutter to carve out the image window and trim around the edges of the iPhone. Finally, I attached a handle to make it easier to the carry around the iphone on Halloween to complete my costume.
