A word from Dyana, the 'Isis Egyptian Goddess' costume creator:
My daughter , Harmony, wanted to be an Egyptian Goddess this year for Halloween, and loved Isis' beautiful wings and headdress. We used molding clay to create a unique headdress complete with a snake head, red diamonds in the eyes and along the sides, sculpted that around a round led lamp (Amazon $14- comes with remote control and lights up every color!) let it dry completely for 2 days and then painted it an antique gold then sewed it to her black wig (ebay $15) .We created her wings with attached neckpiece out of pleather and then painted them as well. Attached elastic to connect to the arms. Used red material and whip stitched around a piece of elastic for a skirt and then used a long piece of red material and wrapped it around her top and tied it in the back. Used another long piece and used it as a cape/train. Cut another 2 pieces of pleather, hot glued blue buttons, blue fringe, and a piece of velcro to connect the belts around her waist and hips. Completed the look with some Egyptian style makeup and gladiator sandals she already had! We had so much fun creating this look and everyone LOVED it! We hope you love it as much as we do:)
