Italian Ice Costume

My 2 year old son has been obsessed with Italian Ice since our trip to Cape Cod this past summer. It's all he talks about and when I asked what he wanted to be for Halloween, he of course, said "Italian Ice"!

I found a costume idea for Starbucks coffee on Pinterest. I just modified the instructions to make Italian ice. All the material is felt, except the "Ice" part which is silky so it wouldn't make my son itchy.

There is an embroidery hoop at the top where I glued the material. I cut arm holes and painted on the letters (I copied Luigi's Italian Ice for the most part because that's what was in the freezer). There are felt straps glued to the top to help keep it on.

I wasn't sure he would want to wear it but he loved it! I can't wait to take him trick or treating!
