A word from Bonnie, the 'Jack Skellington' costume creator:
I decided to finally make my favorite Tim Burton character Jack Skellington. His head is made out of paper macahe. I used flour and water and layered about 6 to 7 coats. I then coated the inside with fiber glass resin to make it stronger. Cut out his eyes and used model magic clay to add his teeth, nose, and around the eyes. Then it was coat after coat of plaster to make him smooth and lots of spray paint. I took and glued a helmet in the inside to be able to wear it. I hot glued black fabric to the eyes so I could see out but people can't see in. His bat tie is made out of foam and model magic. I added wreath lights in the eyes for a wow factor. The jacket and pants were painted with fabric paint line by line. The gloves I bought from a Halloween store. The process seemed to take forever. I ended up sending around 100 dollars for all the materials, but it was well worth it. It's a head turner for sure. I was worried about being overweight off it would look good because jack is super skinny but the black really hides it. I'm in love with this costume.
