Jafar Costume

Why be Aladdin when you can be Jafar? I wanted to pay homage to one of my favourite villains with this costume. It was really fun creating this costume from scratch. I sewed the gown/cape using old black and red bedsheets as fabric and learned to tie a turban. I created the head of the cobra staff using Play-Doh and the shaft is rolled up poster board. I painted my face (my eyes are closed with painted eyelids) and made a prosthetic chin and nose. I printed Iago and the lamp on thick paper. One of the greatest challenges was finding creative ways to create the costume with minimal costs. I spent approximately $20.
