Jafar Costume

I wanted to make a villain because they are always overlooked by the heroes. I used a sewing pattern for Aladdin and Jasmin; the robe from Jasmin and the cummerbund and cape from Aladdin. I cut out cardboard and thin foam for his shoulder guard. I covered it in fabric and added the gold rickrack as well as to the cape. I made the shoes from flannel. I bought the bird, Iago, the hat and the serpent staff. I used Velcro to keep the cape in place and to hold Iago down on the shoulder guard.7
