Jerky Girl Costume

My daughter julie absolutely loves beef jerky. She and her friend decided to be their favorite foods for Halloween, leaving me the task of creating a bag of beef jerky costume. I had no idea where to begin and roamed aimlessly through several stores before deciding to use a poncho as the bag. I used foam sheets and sticky felt letters as my labels and actually sewed them into the poncho. My inspiration came from Julie's favorite brand of jerky. I finished off the costume by covering a baseball cap with foam pieces of jerky. It was a fun project and we were happy with the result. She proudly trick or treated with her best friend (who was in a homemade cheese costume).
