This homemade costume for girls entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Gloria, the 'La Muerte' costume creator:
My 5 year old daughter loved the character from The Book Of Life and I decided to create this for her. I used a thrift store dress and altered it by hand with fabric and flowers. The hat was a sombrero I spray painted red, added the brim from fabric, candlesticks were created with dollar store party favor sticks, painted and the flames are painted spoons. The mask was also hand painted.
