We live in a time where there is a lot of political and social unrest. From the COVID-19 pandemic to the equality movements, 2020 has been a year unlike any other. I work in healthcare and have felt the true impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. I chose my costume this year to remind my peers of the importance of cherishing our freedom and valuing equality in our nation. What better representation of that freedom than our own Lady Liberty.
