This homemade costume for boys entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Lacey, the 'Lego Ninjago Green Ninja' costume creator:
My son Max, almost 7, wanted to be Lloyd, The Green Ninja.
The head: started with a hard plastic bowl, spray painted green, covered in DUCK TAPE, then made Duck Tape fabric. It is held on by using industrial velcro (the other half is on the outer portion of his hood from his sweatshirt).
The body: Box, Duck Tape, Sharpies, paint, more Duck Tape.
The feet: Cut apart a styrofoam cooler (found 2 at Lowes foe .75cents each). Gesso, spray paint, Duck Tape. Inserted industrial velcro inside, as well as the outside of green sweatpants.
Weapon: Paper towel rolls, cardboard, Duck Tape, spray paint, varnish.
Odds & ends, connecting, etc: Super Glue, Modge Podge, fabric glue, any type of glue I could find, more Duck Tape. (HAVE to get the DUCK TAPE brand, the others are not nearly as good).
