Lego Star Wars Costume

What started as our friends Spring and Ray shooting costume ideas around, turned into a month-long project and friendship builder. Ray and my husband Bryan did most of the work. They started with some cardboard pieces and laid shoe foam on top, creating the boxy bodies. The legs are made of foam and are worn like boots. The arms and hands are foam. The heads are made with cardboard tube, except for Yoda. Yoda’s head started as paper mache over a balloon and layers of fiber glass and resin later, Yoda came together beautifully. Everyone helped with painting. Many hours were put into these costumes and when we showed up at the Halloween party, we were a hit!
