Queen of Hearts Costume

Being the crafter in my house, I am always coming up with crazy ideas. This was my very first from scratch costume that I ever made. She received so many compliments that people wanted me to make them costumes. The whole costume is made out of about 6 decks of cards that I purchased from the Dollar Tree. I used hot glue to affix the cards to a Styrofoam sweetheart neckline bodice that I made. I decided to make the top a peplum top by simply bending them upwards. The skirt is made with cards and I used a stapler to put them together. I added a tutu underneath. It topped off with a mask that was originally a costume mask. I just added the cards with hot glue. The hair piece is made completely of cards and I hot glued a clip to the back. It took me a little over a week to create. It is something that she wants to keep and never sell.
