Little Regan (The Exorcist) Costume

Possessed pooch eats so much Halloween candy, she projects pea-soup color vomit and turns head 360 degrees!
My senior chihuahua, Gizmo, is Linda Blair’s possessed character in the iconic film, The Exorcist. I wanted to pay homage to a cult classic horror film, which I think is one of the scariest films ever made. Not only does Gizmo look pretty scary when he’s hangry and barks when it’s time to eat, but he also LOVES peas, so thought this costume was perfect for him! The nightgown is a Cabbage Patch doll outfit that I painted pea-soup green for the vomit. He’s wearing a doll wig that I trimmed to give him bangs. The bed is completely homemade using a wooden chair that I found at the thrift store. I sewed the bed skirt and bedding using an old pillowcase I had. People’s heads were spinning when they saw Gizmo’s Halloween costume this year!
