To make the Big Bad Wolf Granny gown and hat for my Grand-puppy Louie. I went to the Thrift Store and got a 6 month old Carters baby gown. Cut the bottom about 6 to 8 inches off to make the hat. Cut it into a circle, sewed electric about an inch from the edge, sewed some lace around the edge, made hole for his ears, hoops inside the hat to hold his granny glasses and sawed ribbon for the ties. I cut down the side seams of the gown to the arm holes so the gown would hang down in front, added a few buttons in the front for decoration, sewed lace around the collar that matched the hat, shortened the arms, put electic around the bottom of the arm holes almost to the edge and sewed lace on the edge of them that matched. Cut the back longer to lay on his back to almost his tail and used the bottom of the gown that had electric in it already, sewed it about 3/4 way down the back to go under his tummy to keep the gown from sliding off on his back. Took about an hour to do.
