A word from Ashley, the 'Little Robot' costume creator:
My 4 year old son wanted to be a Robot this year for Halloween! We had so much fun making this costume. We made the body using a cardboard box and painted it Metalic Silver. Then, I glued a bunch of inside peices from a computer to the body to really make it look like a robot. I also took a temperature gage from on old clock and put it on the body. Then, I drilled holes into the open spaces that the computer peices didn't cover and inserted battery operated lights to light up the costume. I used dryer ducting for the legs and arms. For the helmet, I used a Costco size "Cheese Ball" bucket. I painted it Metalic Silver and cut a hole in it for the eyes. I drilled holes into the top of the bucket and added more battery operated lights. On the back of the costume, for the Duracell battery, I used an old cardboard oats can and painted in black and gold and then added some stick-on foam letters to spell out, "DURACELL". I then added some cable wires to make it look like the battery was charging the costume! It turned out PERFECT!
