Lord of the Rings Costume

These two love to get into character. Simon is 8 and Lily is 10. They chose costumes that were closely related and look incredible together. Simon is Legolas and Lily chose to be a Viking warrior Princess. These two both exude confidence and strength.

Simon’s outfit was a simple black sweatshirt and leggings with an oversized adult green t shirt split in the front. We had the bow and arrow from his sister’s closet and we purchased the sword from a local Halloween shop. Over the top he’s wearing a velvet green cape. For boots, he borrowed his sister’s old brown fall boots. We put in reverse French braids and pulled the top of his hair back out of his face. His elvish features are all his own magic.

Lily is also wearing a black sweatshirt and leggings with her brown fall boots. Over the sweatshirt, she is wearing a reverse tie dyed tanks top with multiple thrifted belts. We purchase and altered a fur from Amazon. Lily and her father bought a dowel and sanded and stained it. On her back she is carrying a staff sling. I braided her hair into traditional Viking braids. Her make up is black eye shadow with black and white eyeliner. The powerful stance and strong gaze is all her own.
