Ludo from the Labyrinth Costume

Hi,

My name is Randy and for this costume I wanted to go a little bigger and try a few new things. I also wanted to do something from the 80's that a wide range of people may recognize. So I came up with a character from the movie The Labyrinth; Ludo.
For this costume I had to first mold a clay face then cover it with plaster. Then clean out The clay and layer in silicone and remove to make the face.
Next I made a fiberglass skull and built in animatronics to make the eyes and eye lids move while my hand moved the mouth.
For the arms and hands I put in grabbers so I can move 2 fingers.
So in the suit I placed 4 switches to control fans, servos, and a camera so that I could see. And even a cup holder.
The body was made from EVA foam.
Total cost was around 700.00 to make.
