This homemade costume for girls entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Grace, the 'Make it Pink! Make It Blue!' costume creator:
Grace is only 16 and makes custom ballgowns, dresses, and costumes. She is pictured here in her latest, "Make it Pink! Make it Blue!" gown. She was inspired by Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" movie, and Philippians 4:13. She constructed her costume from her own patterns. The gown is made up up five pieces:
The bodice, a light pink, comfortable, silky spandex.
The main skirt, made from the same material as the bodice.
The overlay bodice, made from two layers~ a holographic color changing material and sheer blue tulle.
The overlay skirt, made from the same material as the overlay bodice.
The triangle pieces are made from a bubble gum pink sheer organza.
The lights are a blue LED battery pack.
She loves making everything costumes and dresses!
