This homemade costume for girls entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Jessica, the 'Maleficent' costume creator:
My daughter wanted to dress up as Malificent. We bought a $9 bat girl dress with the wings at Dollar General, paired it with black pants and used my black panty hose on her head. I just took the legs of the hose and wrapped around her neck, tied and tucked under her hair. I made her horns out of a black head band, a little fur, tin foil, and black duct tape I had around the house. We used one of my jackets for her cloak and a dust pan handle for her staff. I used black eyeliner and bright red lipstick for her make-up.
