This homemade costume for women entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Melissa, the 'Maleficent' costume creator:
I am wearing the costume. I put the Maleficent horns on headphones for easy and confortable wear. The skirt I made out of soda pop tabs. Each pop tab I go through 7 times. Cleaning, checking for imperfections, brake off any sharp edges, bending, cutting, putting together, then I tape where I cut with aluminum tape. The colorful scales on it are for real scalmail.
My idea behind this costume is that since Maleficent can turn into a dragon she should show off her scales in human form.
