Man Getting Eaten by Snake Costume

This idea came to me a couple years ago, but was something I put on the back burner when I would come up with what I thought were better ideas. This year I finally went for it, and I’m very happy with the results. This is me in the picture wearing the costume. As you can see, I’m a guy who is being constructed and getting eaten by a snake. The head and neck of the snake work like a puppet. My right up goes up into the head where I can make it swivel and move up and down.

The costume is made out of cardboard, poster board, masking tape, and acrylic paint. I started by making basically a rectangular cardboard cage for myself, and then started to shape the snake body around it with poster board. Probably half a dozen rolls of tape or more went into this costume. It took me from October 2nd until the 28th to complete.
