A word from Rebecca, the 'Marie Antoinette' costume creator:
My 10 year old daughter, Kendall, wanted to be headless Marie Antoinette. We made the bust by forming a cast from wrapping duct tape (with paper towels between tape and skin) over me, then filled with canned foam that hardens (it's like insulation). We painted it with spray paint and added some fake blood. Oh yeah we put a fake spine bone in the foam neck before it hardened. We bought the dress from amazon. Cut a slit in the waidt for her head. My husband anchored lightweight metal rods to the bust and into a backpack she wore on her back to support it. We made a tray out of cardboard and spray painted it silver and hot glued the cake and candy dish to it, cut the neck out and attached it to the anchor in the backpack and hot glue the fake hands to it.
