Mary Poppins Costume

My daughter wanted to be Mary Poppins from the jolly holiday song. So I made myself the adult Mary Poppins, my husband Burt the chimney sweep, and my newborn a penguin to compliment his sister. All our costumes are recycled pieces that I have found at thrift stores and cut and priced together to make the costumes. My daughters jolly holiday dress was an old flower girls dress, the cummerbund was an old satin shirt cut and sewn by me. I went about this for each and every costume. My carpet bag was an old pillow case sewn into a purse etc. I love taking odd pieces and creating costumes.
