This homemade costume for babies entered our 2020 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Caitlin, the 'Maverick Top Gun' costume creator:
Wade my 6 month old son is Maverick from Top Gun. In honour of the new Top Gun Movie launching next year we wanted to do homage to the great character.
We built the fighter Jet around his tricycle using an Amazon box, plastic bucket, a clear box cut out for the windshield, a plastic cone for the nose of the jet and lastly used PBC pipe and a tube to build the tail pipe. We spray painted the whole thing grey for uniformity and added top gun decals. We had a flight jacket and we purchased baby aviators from Amazon to top off the costume.
