Max from the Grinch Costume

Every year I dress up my daughter and our family dog. I dress them up as a theme that will be fun costumes for them. This year its Cindy Lou Who and Max from the Grinch. Riley our dog is Max. She's great at letting me do whatever to her. This year her costume was a little bit complicated cause I had to make the antler. I googled images of Max and used them as a guide to construct it. I made the main antler out of a coat hanger and the little horns out of twist ties and hot glue. Once I got the structure made I covered it in tin foil. Then I used paper towels and watered glue to make the outside. Once dry, I painted it. Then I had to figure out the base. I made a piece of wood that would fit perfectly on Riley's head. To tie it to her head I used red ribbon like on the movie. The red nose was tricky as well cause every time I put it on her she would lick her mouth and it would pop off. I hollowed out the middle so it would fit better and we practised with treats so she would understand to sit still in order to get a treat. I used an old collar and added bells to it. Thats it....Max from the grinch was done.
