This homemade costume for kids entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Kerry, the 'Mermaid and Poseidon' costume creator:
Alexis the Mermaid - Tiara: Glued shells onto a child's tiara & spray painted gold and added pearls & diamond stickers. Bra: Glued shells from the dollar store onto bra & stuck on pearls & diamond stickers, Purchased tail from Amazon. Makeup: Used fishnet stockings to create scaly look.
Brody - Poseidon - King of the Sea - Triton - Spray painted a devils fork gold & added shell & dollar store greenery. Sewed seaweed onto green turtleneck & added shells & greenery to gold crown. Leggings purchased from Amazon. Sprayed wig & beard with green hairspray.
