This homemade costume for pets entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Lilly, the 'Mermaid Dog' costume creator:
My 1 year old rescue dog Sapphire is wearing the costume. I came up with the idea after receiving an email with a pattern to crochet a mermaid blanket. That gave me the idea to crochet a mermaid outfit for my dog. I made the pattern for the tail on my own using a crocodile stitch. The shell bikini and starfish clips were crocheted using a pattern. This is Sapphire's first Halloween and would be great if she won this contest. Thank you.
